How the CryptoChoice Score is calculated
The CryptoChoice Score is a composite rating of an exchange on a scale from 1 to 5. We rate every exchange across five criteria and compute a weighted average. The weights are tuned to the needs of a user from the CIS region, where the main thing is being able to deposit and withdraw money conveniently.
Scores are based on real testing of the exchanges, public data on fees and reserves, the convenience of the interface and the quality of the P2P marketplace for CIS currencies. The ranking is updated as conditions change. P2P is rated with the availability of local CIS currencies in mind: for example, after Binance left the Russian market in 2023 it no longer supports P2P in rubles, so its P2P score for the CIS is lower, even though the exchange remains in the top tier for liquidity and reliability.
